You can usually buy now and choose an installation date of your choice, up to 3 months in advance but each provider does vary. Therefore we recommend buying your wifi as soon as you can to make sure you secure our student discount and get your preferred installation date. September is a very busy time with most students moving back during this period. By buying in advance it gives you a better chance to get the installation date you want so it can be up and running for when you move in.
Speed
The fastest student WiFi speeds we offer, M500 or Gig1, may be our best option for you or perhaps you’ll need a package better suited to small or medium-sized households. Explore our speeds for help choosing the right broadband for you.
Reliability
An Intelligent WiFi Hub will be provided with all our broadband packages for students. Designed to automatically fix WiFi issues and bring you better coverage, the Hub has an Airtime Fairness smart feature built-in which helps to share the WiFi evenly across all your connected devices.
Setup cost
Our kit comes provided and there’s a £0 setup fee with all our broadband packages, including our student WiFi deals.
Student discount broadband isn’t something we’ll be able to offer as we can’t accept student discount cards, like TOTUM or UniDAYS. Under 200MB Fibre Broadband is usually the most affordable student broadband deal and best on price. But whatever speed you need, see if you can get it cheaper on the longer contract -
our 12-month student broadband deals will usually have a lower monthly cost than the 30-
day options.
Speed
Gig1 student broadband deals are our fastest and best for speed, averaging uploads of
104Mbps and downloads of 1,130Mbps. The more housemates you split the cost with, the more affordable our faster speeds
will feel, so you’d be surprised how fast you can really go within your personal budget.
Flexibility
Rolling 30-day deals could be our best student broadband deals for temporary housing.
These are easy for you to end at any time with no cancellation fees, you simply keep it
rolling for as long as you need, even just for part of a semester. Longer longer, 12-month
student broadband deals are also much more flexible than the standard 18-month options.
Reliability
Try find a provider with 99-99% reliable network. For extra peace of mind, you can also add the WiFi
guarantee in some cases.
